Should I?

Last night I came across an awesome website for nurses and nursing students called Scrubs Magazine. It has a lot of great info and I'm looking forward to browsing it thoroughly over the next several days.

I decided to check out the nursing student blog first and found a great post about being a CNA before entering nursing school. I orginally thought that being a CNA wasn't for me but after reading her post I have given it a second thought.

I started looking into it and found two programs that are about 6 weeks long. One of the reasons I didn't want to become a CNA was because I thought it required a longer course. I can finish one of these course and start working (hopefully) before I start back at the University in January.

This is definitely something I'm going to consider now. I need all the extra sparkle I can get to add to my nursing school application. The program I will be applying to is very competitive and just started admitting freshman into the program making it even harder for change of major students (me) to get in.

Hmmmm, I think I'm going to go call me mum and see what she has to say about it. I'll keep you posted!
